Timeline
The residency spans 12 weeks, and it welcomes artists from around the world committed to realizing sculptural works.
The residency has three stages:
-
During this phase, residents collaborate with the design and engineering team to develop their concept. Artists work on 3D modeling and CAD drawings, identifying suitable materials and the required fabrication techniques.
-
Artists then move into the metal workshop, where they receive hands-on, technique-led support to bring their project to fruition. This phase allows residents to explore and extend the potential of metal as a medium, encouraging cross-disciplinary material use, including metal, wood, glass, resin, and ceramics.
-
At the residency’s conclusion, the artists will have the opportunity to present their completed works in an exhibition at Powerhouse Arts, featuring a public opening, artist talks, and roundtable discussions across multiple disciplines.
